Help Our Family Grow!

As much of Ottawa may have heard, local radio station HOT 89.9 FM is giving away three rounds of fertility treatments to a lucky couple, who wants to conceive, but has been told they need assistance.

This is a contest like no other, and we were very happy to hear that "Couple B" is a part of OUR family here at Boston Pizza Orleans.

Valerie's Flutter Foundation

As most may already know, we at Boston Pizza Orleans, believe in our community. We like to give back what we can to charities, organizations, teams and schools, to assist in meeting their fundraising goals!

This summer, we've been fortunate to meet with Valerie's Flutter Foundation. Valerie, a young woman in Orleans, fought the battle against a rare form of cancer called Chondrosarcoma, bringing her life to an end on June 15th. Her foundation, Valerie's Flutter Foundation, raising awareness of rare cancers, and raising money to help find a cure lives on through her family.

On both July 18th, and August 8th, Valerie's Flutter Foundation gathered family, friends, teachers, co-students, and complete strangers at our restaurant to raise funds for the foundation.

On both occasions, we at BP Orleans donated back 10% of the receipts collected by their Guests, bringing their 2-event total donation to $770.38! On top of this, Valerie's Flutter Foundation, sold over $2500 worth of bracelets and t-shirts, all going to the foundation.

Valerie's Flutter Foundation is a prime example of the way your organization can raise significant funds for something so amazing as finding a cure for cancer. We wish that Valerie could have been there in person to see the success of her foundation taking off, but we know she was here in spirit - it could be seen on everyone's smiling face!

Your Kids Are VIP at BP Orleans!

You kids are important to us at Boston Pizza Orleans - so much in fact that we have decided to prove it with our NEW Kids VIP Cards!

Starting August 1st, bring your kids to Boston Pizza Orleans and they will receive a VIP Card. Every time you visit BP Orleans, your kids will be able to show your server their card, and receive something special!

From tattoos, to stickers, and ending with a Kids Movie Tickets & Concession Stand Combo at Empire Theatres, this card is for all kids ages 10 and under!

Come in starting August 1st, have a bite to eat and start collecting stamps with your kids!

We'll also be introducing a Treasure Chest of fun toys for your kids to take home! ...like we said, your kids are VIPs to us at Boston Pizza Orleans!

Events @ BPOrleans!

We have some great events happening in August at Boston Pizza Orleans!

We're currently working with Best Tools for Schools in a promotion where they are giving away 3 of their amazing school kits to 3 lucky winners! All parents have to do is bring their kids in for dinner, and with every kids meal purchase, a ballot is given for the kids to enter in their name to win! How simple is that?!

To pair the promotion up with a fundraiser, we're hosting an event with Best Tools for Schools in support of Supplies for Smaller Scholars to help raise funds for those who may not be able to afford all of the back to school products that are needed. On August 30th, from 5-9pm, we invite all of you to come out, and have dinner with your family or like-minded individuals and donate your receipt to the drop box. 10% of your subtotal will be donated to the organization!!! Also, they will be hosting a silent auction with goodies to win!

Another great event we're hosting is on August 23rd from 5-9pm, where a local team in the city's Underwear Affair will be hosting a fundraiser with a raffle draw and a 50/50 draw to help raise money for their team in the 5km walk and 10km run. Put together by Natalie of NDS Photography and her family & friends, it will be a great night - and we're inviting all Twitter friends to come out and show Natalie and her team their support as they raise money to battle cancers below the waist.

Overall it's a great month to come out and support local businesses, charities, and it's as simple as dinner & drinks!

Community Taste Testing Party

You know you're always "Among Friends" at Boston Pizza Orleans, but we're about to make you feel like a VIP!

Every year, we launch a new menu in June, and this year, we're having a Community Taste Testing Party.

Should you be granted access to this VIP party, you and a Guest will be invited to come to our restaurant on June 7th at 11:30am to taste test all of our new menu items, before anyone else in the city!

Here's how to enter:

Watch for Tweets on Twitter that are scrambled words of our new menu items. Correctly unscramble the word, and RT for your chance to win. There will be 1 (one) lucky winner every day!

Mother's Day

With Mother's Day just around the corner, we have taken a fun approach for kids to show their Mom love & gratitude with a gift that will last a lifetime, through a contest at Boston Pizza Orleans!

We've partnered with CL Buchanan Photography, who has lovingly provided us with a Family Photoshoot to give away.

Upon dining in at Boston Pizza Orleans, between now & May 9th, kids will receive our special coloring sheet, where they can draw a family portrait for display in the restaurant. On May 10th, we will choose the winning photo, and that child will be awarded the family photoshoot to give to their Mom.

What Mom wouldn't want to have their children, their family, captured in a photo for years to come?

So, Dad's, this is a great opportunity for you to bring out the kids for dinner without Mom and have your kids color the best family portrait. (Oh an another tip? We're giving a beautiful carnation to every Mom on Mother's Day, just as our thank you..you know in case you forget flowers yourself, we've got you covered!)
