Valerie's Flutter Foundation

As most may already know, we at Boston Pizza Orleans, believe in our community. We like to give back what we can to charities, organizations, teams and schools, to assist in meeting their fundraising goals!

This summer, we've been fortunate to meet with Valerie's Flutter Foundation. Valerie, a young woman in Orleans, fought the battle against a rare form of cancer called Chondrosarcoma, bringing her life to an end on June 15th. Her foundation, Valerie's Flutter Foundation, raising awareness of rare cancers, and raising money to help find a cure lives on through her family.

On both July 18th, and August 8th, Valerie's Flutter Foundation gathered family, friends, teachers, co-students, and complete strangers at our restaurant to raise funds for the foundation.

On both occasions, we at BP Orleans donated back 10% of the receipts collected by their Guests, bringing their 2-event total donation to $770.38! On top of this, Valerie's Flutter Foundation, sold over $2500 worth of bracelets and t-shirts, all going to the foundation.

Valerie's Flutter Foundation is a prime example of the way your organization can raise significant funds for something so amazing as finding a cure for cancer. We wish that Valerie could have been there in person to see the success of her foundation taking off, but we know she was here in spirit - it could be seen on everyone's smiling face!
